03/04 Press Release

To commit to the MPCC on a voluntary basis do not in any way disagree with the UCI regulation. But as to questions of semantics and harmonization, from now the rules applied by the movement’s members will use the word « introspection » instead of « self-suspension ». 

MPCC wishes to give the floor to the riders on a regular basis. Thomas Voeckler (Direct Energie) has not failed to take this opportunity by sharing his feelings about the movement's development.

"Ladies are less tested than men"

As explained by Danny Schoonbaert and Pascale Jeuland, antidoping tests are less frequent in women cycling than men cycling. Thus MPCC is examining the possibility of carrying out cortisol level tests with its women team members in 2016.

Doping figures as at November 17

According to the last update of the doping case count carried out by MPCC, athletics and Russia are the most affected sport and country. This reflects the recent scandals involving IAAF and ARAF.

Great news for MPCC - Another association has committed to the movement: Germany’s BDR, which is the 9th national body to adhere after France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, Israël and Morocco.
